All done with the top of my muddy colored string quilt!
Time for a quilt sandwich... except that, because I'm moving in two weeks, my safety pins are PACKED!
Time to go "old school" and use a needle and thread!
Curved needles and thimble are packed too. Really?
What was I thinking?
But now I have a whole new problem! Why does Kip love quilt sandwiches? He was thrilled with the fun catch the thread game as I pulled it through the fabric.
Can you hear him purring???
Okay, let me just say that I love my curved safety pins!
Sooo much faster!
At least I'm done and ready to start quilting
Did I get too crazy with the back?
happy fabric tuesday!
It's a beautiful quilt!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I love it!!
ReplyDeleteLove the color palette! Absolutely beautiful neutrals. = )
ReplyDeleteI love it! I want one!
ReplyDeleteMoving in two weeks and you are taking time to quilt? More power to you! I love your back; I'm getting into interests backs, too. In fact my sister-in-law exclaimed over the back of hers last week for five minutes before my husband told her to turn it over. LOL
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by.
It is beautiful. I love it.

Gorgeous mom! Can't wait to see it IN PERSON in 2 WEEKS!!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the back! It is a beautiful quilt. I just finished a string quilt this week as well.
ReplyDeleteThat cat playing along is too cute.
ReplyDeleteOooh I like this quilt! The neutrals are great. I've been slowly putting together a string quilt in leftover reds and greens for Christmas (which Christmas, I don't know...). It's a fun, no pressure project.
ReplyDeleteYeah, when we moved, I was all out of sorts, too! I was in the middle of a mug rug swap, and the movers packed my "good" sewing machine on Day 1, but left my old dino-sewer out. I couldn't just sit there all night with a houseful of boxes and not sew! I found my spray adhesive (LOVE spray basting, btw!), and got to work! The dino-sewer nearly drove me to drinking, though, compared to my snazzy machine. :o)
ReplyDeleteMoving certainly brings out the resourcefulness in us, doesn't it?! :o)
